Training and Development Opportunities
The opportunities below offer a range of different disciplines, formats and approaches to training and development led by CHASE students and faculty. These include one-off conferences, a series of seminars or workshops and masterclasses.
Often very bespoke, they offer a high level of specialism and focus. Regular open calls for training proposals mean that the calendar of events is always developing and changing and we encourage you to check back regularly for new events.
The events will also be announced and advertised in the CHASE monthly bulletin.
Please use the links below to sign up to the training.

For the two days of the Black Pig Printmaking workshop, we will be making a black and white linocut. The principle of all relief printing is the same: the removal of material from the matrix produces the white tones of the image. It's one thing to study a print for its meaning and context but something else altogether to actually make a print. Some sort of magical intervention seems to happen between the carving of the block and the end result. The wonder of this process, the mediated image, never leaves those who have been making relief prints for most of their lives: it's exhilarating and can be highly addictive.

Making films under financial and political constraints is an urgent topic in the current social climate. There is perhaps no better European filmmaker to explicate working in this climate than Yugoslav-Serbian director Zelimir Zilnik. Zilnik has been active making films since the 1960s, always working with a strong political consciousness and a confrontational attitude to the status quo.
